| It was a descendant's earnest wish
for his 'paternal' family tree, or for their story to be told, that eventually
led the author to agree to undertake the task. After extensive and very
detailed research, she finally prepared this book, 'THE HOHN FAMILY", which
is presented here.
It is the story of another conservative, skilled German family. Relying on their own skills and wishing to do so in the future, and thinking that 'Auswanderung' was the only way to preserve their old ways, they ended up as labourers on estates in the island colony: Jamaica. |
